World of Hinghwa: History and Stories of the Hinghwa People

In ancient China, there were three golden ages. The Hinghwa people played very significant roles in the two of them. During this golden era, Putian produced 2500 imperial scholars. Many became prefecture governors and high-ranking officials. Amongst them were 18 prime ministers. In Chinese, they were known as Zaifu. Hence, our Hinghwa hometown Putian was also known as the Centre of Culture and Literature 文献名邦、海滨邹鲁. The legacy is continued by Prof. Gong Qihuan, the current president of Peking University, and many academicians in China and beyond.In the Nanyang, we have many high-ranking public officials, 10 of whom hold ministerial positions. In the private sector, there are many successful tycoons in various industries.In the education and medical sectors, there is also a long list of academics and medical professionals. Many of them are professors. Some of the medical specialists are CEOs of public and private hospitals. Amongst them are top executives in the WHO, World Bank, and other World institutions.This should change people's perception that the Hinghwa were mere rickshaw pullers, trishaw riders, and taxi drivers, because in ancient times, we had great people. Even today, the descendants of the pioneers in the Nanyang have proven that they still carry the Hinghwa DNA of excellence.There are many interesting stories in my book, and due to the constraint of space, I will leave it to you to read to uncover the wonders of the Hinghwa people.I do not doubt that after reading my book, you will feel very proud to be a Hinghwa.
